What is the Associate Program?

The program is a civilian affiliate of the Fraternal Order of Police, Howard County Sheriff’s Lodge. It’s members are individuals and families of law enforcement officers, responsible and respected business persons, professional men and women, and citizens from all walks of life – people willing to devote a portion of their time and efforts toward assisting the Howard County Sheriff’s Lodge.

The Associate Program is a non-partisan without regard to race, creed, color, or religious beliefs. The participants’ interests revolve around law enforcement and the men and women that have dedicated their lives to the protection of citizens. Associate members support programs, charitable causes, and legislation of the Howard County Sheriff’s Lodge as well as all law enforcement efforts.

Application Process:

Interested individuals and businesses will complete a membership application and submit a law enforcement reference, preferably an F.O.P member, or give authority to do a background check. References can be other law enforcement officers and F.O.P Staff. The F.O.P. President and/or Secretary will review and approve applications.

Approved members will be sent a welcome letter, membership decal and receive an annual email newsletter.
